*** THE VUE VERSION ***
I recently discovered jeg101's gallery here. John lives just a few miles from me and a lot of his photos are of the local area and Wales (another of my favourite places!)
One photo caught my eye in particular which was taken standing underneath some beautiful willows by the side of Stowe Pool. I asked John if I could use it as reference/inspiration to do a similar scene in Vue. It's a really great excercise trying to recreate a photo as accurately as possible - and with the exception of the numerous crashes due to the size and complexity of the scene, I really enjoyed doing it - partly because it's a view I know personally.
I had to rip apart and rebuild a church model I had to build Lichfield Cathedral. That was fun too ;-) St Mary's church in the left of the scene was easier - I just had to make the spire taller!

The weather is pretty different, but you got it perfect. Yours adds mood to the scene that the original phto doesn't have imho.

Wow, this is phenomenal and I am amazed that you got all those polys to render--not amazed that you re-created the view, I know you can render anything you can see;-) I love the soft mist you added, though, it's a lovely little touch!
