Installed some new (for me) La Femme goodies I bought but never got around to using. I put it off until Poser 12 and I'm still waiting for Poser 12 for mac (any month now) and I was cleaning up my files and thought, hmm, I wonder what these looks like.
While waiting, heaps of Blender stuff has come and I'm playing with that in the meantime. Wow, the cloth sculpting is wild. But I digress... :)
I went ahead and installed stuff from my download folder, and rendered something quick, just to remind myself that Poser is 1) still really easy to use and 2) not that bad, for what it is. :)
Of course, I wish I had a mac version of v12. Maybe someday.
Edit: well, shut my mouth and call me chumpy. I just downloaded the newly released mac version. Installed. Copied my former prefs, adding the new content (I keep a lot of runtimes to make content management cleaner). Installer is faster. Opened image, changed nothing. New render has a few weird inexplicable artifacts. A shadow from nowhere on the arm. The bump/displacements of the layered leggings produces very artificial looking (and too dark) shadows under each band (leg cuffs and waist). no idea why. I turned the bump displacement way down, same thing. I tried GPU rendering (which isn't accelerated with my Radeon Vega Pro 64 - thanks for that, Apple). Same thing. Is this something to do with layered materials?

Time to play
