Perhaps this is an old battlefield, and that's a pile of vanquished enemies' skulls...the cleric's staff is amazingly unblemished by time. Yes, magick is at work here, beside the druid's tree.
You have to look at the pile o' skulls pretty closely (in the full size) to tell what they are. Then all the rocks start to look like skulls, and things get creepy quickly.

Very subtle with this one, I'm really liking your Vue works more and more. You can almost sense the magicks going on in there. XD
