Description

This is a jump-shift from my immediately preceding series, which was set in a Space 1889 colonial Venusian world to Jules Verne's world of 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. We last saw the passenger who arrived at the fishing village on the Sparrowhawk flyer on a steam motor launch transferring to a warship, accompanied by one of the British marines (transfer - https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/transfer/2641255/). In this image we see the same launch, minus the imperial British flag, coming from the warship to a mysterious vessel in the foreground. Standing on the vessel's deck are two oddly-clad men. Seeing them, the woman launch passenger shows a broad smile. Based on her expression this must be a homecoming. At least one interpretation of Verne's fiction has the British as Nemo's hated enemy. In this render, although the British have provided the transportation from, as it were, one world to the other, they've struck their colors for sake of the mysterious vessel's captain. The lady is V4 with the Emmalee texture with Detta hair (DAZ) wearing the Edwardian Boarding Suit skirt (DAZ), Hongyu's shirt, the Gunslinger vest, and items from Steampunk for V4 (RDNA). The character is inspired by a particular Space 1889 illustration of a woman scientist. The marine is M4 with the Erp mustache from RDNA, wearing a pith helmet and an Officers and Gentlemen uniform. The helmsman is wearing the Slosh Naval Uniform. The men in the foreground are based on original illustrations from 19th century editions of 20,000 Leagues under the Sea. Their uniforms use the pants and scarf from the US Cavalry Pack, boots from Andreas Schmitt, and the M3 Poet shirt (DAZ). The man on the left has Alicia hair for both his head and beard (DNA). The one on the right has Estio curls and the beard for M4 (both DAZ). The environment is the Poser Ocean with a RenderStudio AfterGlow atmosphere for nice haze, and one of Flink's Sunset Skies. The steam launch is Chris Schell's freebie, somewhat reworked, remapped and retextured. The wake is from the IN Wavecutter and the smoke from my Sparrowhawk. The large steamship in the background is the Greek battleship Kilkis from the Trimble 3D Warehouse. The foreground vessel is KuroKuma's Nautilus, somewhat retextured. I've added Caspian gulls from Flock Formations (Hivewire3D) for color. Zoe is forever the Millennium Cat.
