Continuing my series about the birds seen earlier this month in Fuerteventura,one of the Canary Islands:
The Common Redshank or simply Redshank (Tringa totanus) is an Eurasian wader in the large family Scolopacidae. It is a widespread breeding bird across temperate Eurasia. It is a migratory species, wintering on coasts around the Mediterranean, on the Atlantic coast of Europe from Great Britain southwards, and in South Asia.
Le Chevalier gambette (Tringa totanus) est une espèce d'oiseau limicole de la famille des scolopacidés. Le Chevalier gambette se rencontre essentiellement dans des zones humides et salées, le plus souvent sur des vasières dans lesquelles il se nourrit de vers et de petits crustacés.

Lovely trio! So that's where the red-legged birds went! All our waders here seem to have yellow or yellow-green legs. :) The colors of the birds and the background go very well together.
