Great scene. I buy this road.. Never use... but I never use Carrara. There seems to be a lot of work that must be manually done on the shader when you open a poser figure.

Keep plugging away. Yup. Pretty much every Poser/Daz-based asset needs the shaders tweaked, but once you learn what works you can integrate the changes into your workflow and the end result is usually worth the extra effort.
