The windmills were introduced in Fuerteventura at the end of the 18th century and had a worthy development thanks to the plenty of cereals in the rainy years and to the constant and intense winds during a great part of the year.
Mill of Tefia.
This mill date from the thirties of the 20th century, although the machinery is previous, since it belonged to Rafael “el cantero” (“the quarryman”) from La Oliva. Since 1994 it is declared Good of Cultural Interest with the category of Historic Artistic Monument.
