This might not be the last version of this image. I was saying on deviantART that I was having a problem with the composition and one of my favourite artists offered to look at it so I couldn't pass up on this and I may end up improving it if I can. But I didn't want to wait any longer to post something here in order to thank you all who voted for me for the AOM and for all the nice messages of encouragement and congratulations I received. Thank you very much, it means a lot to me and also all your support in the last 5 years :)
This image was inspired by the art of Michael Parkes who I just discovered and fell in love with :)

Dress and hat are Gothic Muse by LilFlame on synfulmindz. The skirt part was retextured with Paisly texture by parrotdolphin
The mermaid fin is from Water World by ilona
Hair, ribbon, glove (with paisly texture again) and background painted by me.
Pose started with one of Ilona's but redone by me. I had to repaint the left arm also because it really didn't work after I bent it like that so close to her body in Poser :)

Even at 40% of its size, I had to compress the image a lot to fit 512kb, so I hope the resolution is still good...

Go find a Golden Mean overlay--there's one for sale in the store here, but there are others for free on the web--and apply that. You probably just need to move her in the frame a bit, and add some motion into the background to get it there. Mermaid in a dress. Hee!

Très fin et très aérien (malgré que la scène soit apparemment dans l'eau) :)

I like the composition very much, and the soft background--it looks very Art Deco to me!

It really is a lovely image Louise, and I can't imagine how you could improve on it unless you maybe added a bit of cuteness here and there ;)
