Just some Marigolds from my flower bed. I remember some flower history - that the plant was named for the Virgin Mary "Mary's Gold." And that Marigolds are native to Mexico. They really do glow gold, I think.
I have a friend named Mari and she could use a little pep talk since she lost her job. Her name is spelled with an "i" so it seemed a fitting title.
This is a photo taken with my smartphone. I find it is a lovely piece of technology and I'm very impressed with the camera! Except for the signature this is an "out of camera" shot.
Thanks for the view,

Good lawd....you did that with a smartphone? Most stellar under the circumstances, Jodie! I understand the new iPhone 5 has a super camera. As for the name Mari, if you condense Mata Hari into one word, you come up with Mari. That said, bright colors in this pic of the lovely marigolds, young lady.

several bursts of sunshine, and very full and opulent and undulant. I know that smartphones and tablets, today, can do fine captures; but I also know it takes a fine eye to make them work, to begin with. There's a glow in the center, running through the middle of the piece, that's beautiful, and very much your way. I hope it gave your friend more hope. And I didn't know about the name "marigold": That adds another beautiful dimension to the shot. Intimate beautiful capture. Awash with light and rich hues...
