Fascinating and engaging series, wonderful concept. I particularly enjoy the interplay between the characters, and how she is sometimes more bemused than muse, while the sidekick, reminiscent of a staid banker, becomes the jester, cavorting and capering alongside as he acts out the words.
Thank you Joe for these comments, always so refined. The character of the muse draws its strength from her apparent indifference or naivety, she resists the desires of the creator who wants to take her as a model. It is a kind of allegory of resistance to the assured interpretation of images and words. The character in costume and bowler hat is borrowed from Magritte's universe. It is, too, a kind of allegory, that of creativity, which by taking itself too seriously, only succeeds in being a kind of buffoon, as you have said so well. This series forms a small theater of the writing process of the storyteller that I am.
