We know the true meaning of Christmas is religious, but in all the revelry, it is easy to downplay it. We become mesmerized by the decorative blends of red, green, gold, and silver; the nostalgic sounds of carols; the scent of newness in new purchases; the various flavors of rich desserts and favorite drinks; the hugs and squeezes exchanged with the giving of gifts. It takes effort to keep the reason for the season in our minds.
"So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full." (Matthew 6:2)
Oh my God, how many people are homeless in countries we call developed ones, how we can call them as developed, many ones are suffering in cold outside having no shelter.......!

You've done a beautiful work to highlight a very ugly problem. I find it shameful so many rich countries have so many homeless, and with this pandemic it's even worse. This is not just an issue we should be thinking about during the holidays, but after the celebrating is long over the problem still exists and the needs of those less fortunate need to be met. I'll get off my soap box now before I get really carried away.

A GREAT IMAGE HIGHLIGHTING A LARGE AND PRESSING PROBLEM. TOO MANY DISREGARD THOSE LESS FORTUNATE. I SEE PEOPLE SLEEPING ON THE GROUND ON OUR PUBLIC SQUARE. THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO HELP INSTEAD OF WASTING TIME AND ASSETS ON PETTY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PARTIES STAY WELL AND HEALTHY

I have known many homeless and gave work to those that could paint or as a helper as long as they was not intoxicated/ no smoking
very good illustration. most would spend their earnings on beer/booze. the next morning they would ask me to advance them money to eat breakfast I brought some to my home to work that I felt could be trusted and to million+ dollar homes
Hello Richard, we shouldn't throw them all in the same pot, there are such and such, we also have some with drug problems, but they won't be tangible with us and are happy if they can have a warm bed (and a shower) at least for the night! Have a nice evening and stay healthy! 😊

The little match girl was one of the most powerful stories I ever read. I promised myself to always help where I could. It is not my place to ask what they do with any money given, and if someone asks me for food itself, I always make sure they get something to eat. I am hardly rich and definitely not a saint, but when I see others suffering I suffer too.
