Haunt -v. visit a place regularly, frequent or be persistently in a place, be persistently in the mind of. -n a place frequented by a person, a place frequented by animals for food and drink, a feeding place. (The Concise Oxford Dictionary)
When ghosts exist too long, they walk unquiet.
Phantasms colonise my mind to taunt.
Too many ghosts can cause a spiritsí riot:
far better yet to let them out than haunt
me with their endless games and chatter. Yet
each falls quiet as the time to exorcise
draws closer, to persuade me that theyíve left.
But they live on in yet another guise.
Thus Pain will pull on Angerís shoddy clothes,
whilst Guilt arrives in dark Depressionís gown.
But Iíll seek those Iíve come to know and loathe.
For I know "haunt" can also be a noun.
I shall refuse to heed their changing faces;
I will expel them from their feeding places.

Fav part: "But they live on in yet another guise. Thus Pain will pull on Angers shoddy clothes, whilst Guilt arrives in dark Depressions gown. But Ill seek those Ive come to know and loathe. For I know "haunt" can also be a noun" _________ I can relate well to your words... Excellent choice of image too.

truly chilling, and yet very reflective, as if you've been with ghosts all your life. I have always believed, yet never found. I think now I have found. Thank you for your words, I'm sure they will haunt my memory for a long time now.

I agree with Cagewench: same favourite part. These words speak to me, chillingly so.

That's a fine piece of writing. I like the rhyming scheme a heck of a lot.
