3D rendering in DAZ Studio is only one of my hobbies. I also cross stitch. I've written my own image to chart conversion program, and have stitched about 55,000 stitches of the 98,000 in the project since 2016. There are 118 colours in the project using the DMC embroidery thread range. The photo I converted was of my Maine Coon cat 'Gryff' in the snow in December 2010 just as he was about to play 'catch the snowballs' with my daughters. He was 6 months old at the time. Unfortunately he died from a heart attack a few days before his third birthday.
The stitching is with 2 threads (normally a blend between 2 different colours) with half crosses at a rate of 28 stitches to the inch. In other words, each stitch is 0.9 millimeters long. I have got about 56% of the way through the project.

Thankyou for your comments. It is a bit difficult to show properly as I do it on a frame & the bit off to the right is rolled around the frame.
