Description

The DAZ Studio class is over and this is the final image I did, based on an earlier image done with Vue. We tried to incorporate as many things as we could into the image from what was learned over the 12 weeks. In here there's an obvious use of instances, some lighting FX including a little emmissive and some photoshop work. Also a bit of kitbashing here, modified textures and environmental lighting.

The image is loosely based on Tolkien's Silmarillion and the First Age of Middle Earth. This is not a specific scene, but rather a depiction of the dragon Glaurung's advance against the elves and humans of Beleriand. Glaurung is the first dragon and was created by the Vala Morgoth, formerly known as Melkor when he was a true Vala.
