Fond Memories,
On occasion still fresh in my mind.
Memories of time spent – now gone,
Of activities shared – no more.
Fond memories
Of joy and, yes, of sorrow –
The reminiscing of your presence in my life,
Remembering the quiet times when words failed.
Memories of just being together
In a bond I felt could last forever.
Fond memories,
Once laced with the pain of loss.
Memories once flavored with the taste of my own tears,
With the sorrow that chased away my sleep,
Leaving me only with the pain,
A deep missing I felt would last forever.
Fond memories,
Now peaceful with the acceptance of your absence.
A gap no longer filled with deep despair,
Thoughts more often now
Filled with the joy of having known you,
The warmth of having loved you
And the thrill of having touched you.
Memories in my mind I hold dear
With a love that feels should last forever.
In thought now
Celebrating our time together.
That special time now preserved in those memories –
Fond memories that will stay in my heart forever.

Hi Marcy.. So sad.. You have no idea how badly I wanted to give you your Fairytale Ending. I wanted to be your Knight in shining armor. You know why I put off our relationship but for your friends here I'll briefly explain that I lost my beloved wife 5 years ago after 31 years of happy marriage. I swore off love at that time.. I'm now open to the prospect but am being very cautious. There was a pattern of events that ended with her (my Robin's) passing. You, Marcy, are very, very, much like my Robin and I could have easily fallen in love with you. And that's the rub. Too much like my late wife and the patterns that led to disaster (her death) are in full replay in our relationship. Again, I'm so sorry.. but I must take a different path this time. You're a great person and I really hope you find the right man and happiness you so richly deserve. In the meantime, we will contine to be best buddies and I still want to teach you Poser.. so it's not farewell exactly. BTW.. I've lost 25 pounds since we started our diets so most of my pot belly (seen above) is almost gone now..lol. I hope you're feeling better and the doctors can figure out what's causing you so much pain. Blessings to you too Marcy. Hugs and friends forever.. Dave :^)
