Last week, I took the plunge.
Now, I have Maxwell Render.
I find that I have to convert all my topmod OBJ files to silo 3DS files, then I can import, smooth, and assign a material.
If I try to import the original OBJ mesh created by topmod, which works OK in Bryce, it produces a punctuated, and unusable mesh in Maxwell. Oh, well! So, I go the Silo route, and things are better.
The set of materials is very rich!
