This spiky sauropod is Ampelosaurus. They grew to an average of 50 feet long. Europe at that time was still something of an archipelago with many islands ranging is size to tiny to approaching near but rather smaller than Greenland today. As a result there is definitive evidence of dwarfism among some families and species of dinosaur. There is another sauropod that was quite small at only 20 feet long, Magyarosaurus. It lived at the same time but is known only from one island region in Europe. That makes Ampelosaurus one of the largest sauropods (Titanosaur) that lived in Europe. In the background are some Ignanodonts called Rhabdodon. They all lived on one the "continental" islands covered with meandering rivers, wetlands and floodplains.
