Yesterday Charles (AKA CDBRUGG) suggested I submit an image in glorious monochrome :-) and since his skills in the B & W media are considerable and quite extraordinary, I dedicate this image to him - in the hope that he too will contribute a monochrome or two of his glorious Alps.
The is the base of the mountain EL Capitan in Yosemite - about 3,000 feet high (923M)

Most excellent shot. Very Ansel Adams. To me I feel like I want more out of the image as our eyes are drawn up to the top of the mountain, I find myself wanting to know what the top looks like...
