“You! You and that psycho bitch did this to me! Before I die, I will take you with me! No Amazon should have to live or die like this!”
Julia held up a hand to Alfred. “It's okay.” And she walked forward and faced Hespira straight on. She simultaneously was sickened and marveled at the creation before her. Hespira's eyes, much of her skull, one arm and hand and both legs were all cybernetically enhanced. Some of the prostitute's original flesh and hair were intact and some of Cyber's artificial rubber skin covered other parts. Once again Julia was ashamed at what she'd done and been part of.
“Hespira. There are no words I can say to apologize for the part I played in deforming you. I am sorry from the bottom of my heart and I promise you that I can fix this.”
Hespira stopped and looked at her up and down. It was hard to read her expression because her eyes and brows were not quite human anymore. And she began to make sound like laughter that turned to a coughing and choking fit. Her lungs were still real, but her heart had something over it. Jason tried to help, but she pushed him away and stood up looking at Julia again.
“You can't fix this.” Her voice dripped like venom. “You've destroyed me, an innocent homeless man, this prostitute and countless others. Why would you even think I would want you to come near me again? We're going to see Hades together!” She tried to lunge at Julia, but in her weakened state and surrounded by the others, she never had a chance. Jason's lame arm prevented him from holding her, but Alfed stepped in and held the cyborg woman up and held her tight.
Bruce went to her. “Hespira, Julia can save you if you want. You will not have your old body back, but you will have something new and you will still have your intact mind. And that is what makes you an Amazon.”
“And even if I believed that, how could I trust her! How can any of you trust her?”
“You know about J'onn and he says we can trust her.”
“They have tricks! They have magic to block your mind reading, I've seen it.”
J'onn came over and spoke to Hespira. “I understand. And you are right. But Julia's mind is not hidden from me, I would know and she is sincere in her wish to help and she is sincere in her belief that she can save you. But I do sense some urgency and trepidation in this.” And J'onn turned to Julia as he said this.
“He's right.” Julia said. “I can save you, but we're running out of time because of the condition of your body. I need to fix some of you now and we need to get you some special anti biotics and anti rejection medication to start. I'm sure Mr. Wayne here can acquire what we need. After that I have to do some calculations to make sure the next phase will keep you alive until I can build a new positronic brain and a new cybernetic body.”
“Hera forbid! You want to make me like one of your machines!? I wont have it!” Hespira struggled weakly and in vain in Alfred's arms. “I'd rather die and take you with me.”
“Hespira please.” Julia pleaded. “Your mind and soul, if you like, are still yours. The flesh is a house for the energy that truly makes us who we are. You know of the afterlife and believe in the spirit. Let me make you a new house, as we've never seen, that can hold the spirit of who you are.”
Hespira shook her head and sounded like she was crying, but there were no tears. “How? How could you do this? How can anyone treat life like this?”
Now Julia started tearing up. “Please let me help you.” And she moved closer to Hespira.
Hespira cringed away in Alfred's arms. “Stay away from me.” Then she turned to Alfred and Jason. “Please take me away. I can't stand this anymore.”

A fantastic continuation, Art! One really gets a sense of Hespira's deep despair, and Julia's shame and frustration. You really did an amazing job on Hespira as well! Truly outstanding!
