Description
Ripper watched Stealth walk away in apparent anger. He was amazed at how the full robot was showing human emotion even more each day. He hoped she had it under control. Should Stealth lose it, there'd be no telling the damage and carnage she could cause.
Unlike himself and his other compatriots, Stealth was all cybertronic. There was no true humanity in her at all. Himself, Reaper, Arc Angel and Tank had all been regular humans at one point and Tank still had some of his original body. Which made him the only wild card when it came to following the Doctor's orders. Ripper guessed Tank's days were numbered in this organization. Especially now that Cyber was Wonder Woman and Stealth became stronger everyday. Stealth had no back story or life that led her to this job. She was created for this job or life, just like any tool is created for a special purpose.
As he understood things, Stealth's positronic brain was the latest and greatest. But “her” personality was not mapped from some other person. It was created from scratch and no doubt, partly from Doctor Cyber's view of herself. Stealth had sort of become an extension of the Doctor since she could not be among them all the time in her guise as Lavinia Bryce. This led to everyone eventually calling Stealth a “her” or “she”.
Stealth was a work of wonder. There were no organics in her makeup, just synthetics and homemade chemical fluids. The positronic brain along with the fluid pump in the chest region seemed to recreate the semblance of a humanoid. But that is where the similarity stopped.
Made from adamantite alloys, special hydraulics and loaded with concealed weaponry and a holographic projector, she was truly a stealth unit. If one were to get too close, the holographic projector would only work so well, so she kept her distance when using. Her touch would immediately give things away. The doctor's newest creation of the “emotion fluid”, or “Emotion Elixir”, seemed to be working. The Doctor's idea is that emotions are as much about chemical reactions as they are electrical reactions in the brain. Combining these aspects together, theoretically, could make human emotions in a synthetic creation.
His and the others emotions stuck with them when they were transferred into their new mechanical forms. But he sometimes wondered if his emotions were real or simply an imitation recreated of what he once was. He, Ripper, asked the Doctor about this and inquired as to whether they would be getting improvements that included the Emotion Elixir like Stealth had.
She replied. “You have your true emotions, but eventually down the road I want to improve on you and your compatriots and if necessary include the Emotion Elixir in your makeup. But there is still research to do.”
Ripper could accept this. The Doctor had not lied yet, and she was nothing, if not thorough, in her research, so time would tell. She had a strong distaste for failure, especially in herself. This carried over with less tolerance to others sometimes and Ripper had noted that Tank's continued questioning was becoming an irritation for the Doctor. He warned Tank, but the four legged mech didn't seem to listen.
And, as for Stealth, The more her emotions grew, the more Ripper grew a certain respect for her and the Doctor. It was a respect with a healthy dose of wariness, as well. An emotive AI has potential for great unpredictability, despite the obvious loyalty programmed in by the Doctor.
Stealth stopped and turned back to Ripper and in a curt tone said, “What are you waiting for? We must go now and meet them in the main lab. It's going to take all night and part of tomorrow to complete upgrades for all of us.”
Ripper pulled himself from his thoughts and followed after the curious and mysterious mech.
Thanks for stopping by. More to come by the week's end.

I have more ready, but I'm going to space things out. Hopefully that will give me time to stay ahead of things and keep a steady flow of story. That's what I'd like to do, but "best laid plans" and all, we know how that can go.

Sometimes it's difficult keeping the flow of a lengthy story steady (don't I know it...LOL), but this is flowing nicely, The artwork is excellent, as is the writing. You're doing a fantastic job with this, Art!
