Now a situation in 1940, during Blitzkrieg with France.
I am on search for a new render engine and stumbled over Twinmotion.
I tried Twinmotion. Twinmotion is based on the Unreal game engine and the results depend on your graphics card. My graphics card is not the best one. Good to work with but not really good enough for gpu rendering. All gpu renderer needs NVidia graphics card but such cards are hard to get in these days (thanks to Bitcoin miner). The fan of my card is flying away and the computer case becomes hot like an oven and this is the result with the same scene compared to my old Cinema4D (the newer versions are much better but horribly expensive). The C4D picture needed some minutes to render in this quality and an hour with higher quality, the Twinmotion pictures needed some seconds to save. I can recommend the free trial version of TM. It is full featured and the only limit is that pictures are full HD only in size, enough for part time and private artists. It is easy to use and makes good pictures if your graphics card is good enough.
There are parts in lighting that are better on other renderer. But TM is easy to use with a big library of assets, like trees, grass, bushes and other assets. You can paint with grass and trees on the landscape to build your landscape. I hope in some month the craziness with graphics cards is over and I can buy a better NVidia card with more video memory.
