Another shot of the Cattle Egret as he tolerated me for a few minutes, so long as I stayed in my truck. Sneaking on foot?--nope, off he flew.
Thanks very much for your views and comments.

A really beautiful egret. He looks "extra-white" in the bright sunlight. Outstanding photo!

This is simply a perfect shot of this beautiful bird as white as snow.

Fantastic Maria, you could captured it so well. To me it looks like a beautiful postcard, and zoom is a must. That green stuff on the branch makes this a real good nature shot.

What an excellent shot of this ultra white egret, Maria. I don't think I've ever seen anything so white, including freshly fallen snow. Plus, the bird's environs are elegantly gorgeous, with the big tree and bokehed background.

Superb, as usual! :) I'm a bit late with my comments, as I was visiting a friend for a couple of days and wasn't on line much. :P
I'm impressed with your ability to find birds. Listening to you talk about it, everything makes so much sense! Oh ... here are some cows messing around ... there should be some cattle egrets nearby! Yes, and I never would have thought of that. I've always felt like seeing birds was random, but perhaps there's a method!

I read tara's comment closely. I'd add (and sure she'd agree) that if you have a keen eye for birds, you'll find them, and in positions that are just right for a photograph. The egret, here, is a sterling creamy white. And he/she stands out against the other details beautifully. And as for those details, the tree and beautiful muck on it is scintillating; and your bokeh is perfect balance. I'm about to buy an expensive camera, but I'll have much to learn to get bird shots like this. A higher resolution helps, but the inner eye is all. And you have that.
