Oh this is just perfect for Mark! What a great scene, Steve! You nail it no matter what genre to tackle, buddy! Well done!
I hoped to get one posted for his BD, but I'll have to do a late one.. Too much going on lately...

what a delight, steve! Love that cat! (a carat cat, right?) Something out of a great fairy tale, or Alice in Wonderland. Love that smile, and blood-stained teeth, and its great coat, and dinosaur-like humps (or ribs, whatever those things are called on top of his torso...) (pointy spine...)
And I don't remember the name of the rabbit character, except I see him all the time in your pieces, and he seems to be offering a carrot to that cat. Love when you go humorous and cartoonish on us...And these two are standing in ruins---it looks like a town after the apocalypse, an encounter in a strange wilderness---great job with the torn walls and exposed wire-framings. A really inventive image, steve, with your usual panache for bold characters, and harmony of color---this one in a brooding gray-blue-green: A really graphic bold image. (Even in darker scenes, your eye pops off the page.) Thank you so much---and it's fine that you're "late", there's no 'late', I'm moving like a slug these days so "late" is all relative. Thank you so much. I'll comment more this week, I just need one more day to rest...love this wild tongue-in-cheek image. Could be in a graphic children's book.
