"Did you know it?" Puhrr asked Kahrr accusingly when they were in their quarters.
Kahrr had seen the storm assemble. Puhrr had stridden towards their apartment, clenched jaw, mouth sullen and eyes flashing with anger.
"What?" he swallowed.
"About the dreams' ships?" Puhrr's voice resembled a growl.
"Yes, everyone knows that in the fleet." Kahrr knew he was a bad liar, so he decided to tell the truth.
"You've been there?"
"Just once!" Seeing Puhrr's murderous glance Kahrr hastened to add: "It's not what you think, it isn't that a soldier goes there when he wants to! A week's leave in a dreams' ship is a guerdon for deeds of valor. The officers reward the low ranks giving them some cash or a certificate and a week in a dreams' ship. The officers decide, you can refuse the bonus if you like."
"And you refused?"
"No," Kahrr admitted. "Turning down an officer's decision is never healthy, you're branded as a troublemaker."
"We must free them!" Puhrr exclaimed. "We need to capture the dreams' ships and free the women enslaved there."
Kahrr shrugged his shoulders: "You should talk to Maurr."
"But you'll support me? Maurr takes into account your opinion."
The next morning Puhrr stormed like a hurricane into Maurr's apartment.
"We must free them! Maurr, I'm sure you can understand, we can't abet those women's fate."
"And men," Maurr murmured, "there are also men, but this is less known."
There was a moment's silence then Maurr said: "Nothing would please me more, but it's currently not a priority. The dream's ships are anchored within large space bases and risking a ship to get one could cost us dearly."
"This is a sensitive issue," Kahrr suggested, "Maurr, we must have a Rasharr council."
"Good idea!" Maurr exclaimed, "but I don't think we can do anything for now, Puhrr. I'm sorry."
"I'm going to talk to Lady Behrr!" Puhrr sped away.
Lady Behrr was having tea with Gila when Puhrr arrived.
"You're right!" Gila cried, "we have to save them!"
"I agree." Lady Behrr said thoughtfully, "but to succeed we must ask for help to the right person: JS."
Puhrr and the others went to JS's command, but he wasn't there. They asked around, but no one knew where he was.
"Eve, she'll know!" Gila exclaimed.
"JS went to the atoll to do a bit of fishing." Eve told them.
"Spear fishing? With the troubles that impends, is he busy navel gazing?" Puhrr was shocked.
"No, he said he has to think. Here every pain-in-the-ass keeps asking something and he can't think sharply. Sometimes he has to be alone." Eve explained.
Lady Behrr nodded and Puhrr explained the situation to Eve: "Maurr doesn't think it's a priority, but maybe JS ..."
"I'll call JS." Eve said. She didn't want to disturb him, but those poor girls were a thorn in her heart too.
"You go with Maurr and Kahrr, me, as a matriarch, I'll talk to the Rasharr officers." Lady Behrr said.
While they were on the way to the atoll Eve mind-called JS: "Jay, I'm coming ..."
"Great, I really need to attend the mech-lab!" JS mind-grinned.
"Er, I'm not alone."
"How many PITAs are with you?" JS sighed.
"Puhrr wants to ask you something." Eve thought explaining what it was and the different positions so that he could get an idea.
On the shore JS listened attentively to Puhrr pleading her case.
"We told her we cannot risk a ship." Maurr muttered.
"We must do something, Jay! You know what being chipped means!" exclaimed Puhrr playing her trump card.
JS nodded: "I think we should rap at their defences just to test their reaction. It's a fucking good propaganda scoop. Moreover, those women have families ..."
"Some are reported by their brethren." Kahrr admitted. "But more often the GHOULs smite the girls to curb their families nowadays."
"If so, most relatives and lovers will support us. Yes, it's worth a try." JS concluded, "and we need to get out of the doldrums of inaction."

Excellent image. Great beach scene and sky. Looks very relaxing. You'd think they're just hanging out and having a good time, rather than planning to rescue pleasure slaves. It's good to add some variations to their adventures.
