you had this whole series of insects against black, which renewed itself over and over...and then, all of a sudden, you broke away, and you have a whole new set of variations. I love the deep golds and yellows in this, with deep reds and silver hues as well. The torso is a different shape too---it tapers on the top, and fills out at the bottom. The top has a totem feel, the bottom is like a tribal mask. And the bottom legs are almost like he's wearing chaps! (does Ralph Lauren make a line for bugs?) Your usual chrome-morphed wings, and two bright yellow eyes on the sides of the head (you've been putting them on top) with a beautiful red outline. And what do you put it against? A light green. There are complementary colors, they set each other off. Another beauty from you, Tom. One of these days you're gonna post a butt-ugly bug, and we'll think, "Well, it finally happened...the bugs got him at last..." Terrific.
