Description
Leaving the dinghy and crocodile, Kylie comes across a pit filled with what looks like quicksand. No, she isn't going to try it out. A colorful bird is perched on a fallen branch on the far side of the pit. The branch looks artificial but the bird is real. It is a lilac breasted roller. Kylie knows about them but never seen one. An avid birder, the sighting makes her trip to Africa worth the trouble, if she makes it home, that is.
The whole arrangement here looks set up as a trap. And she drove into it. But not trapped yet - so she hopes. Better get back to the jeep and see if it is still ok, parked there in front of the tunnel.
