Description

------------------ Ok, my main dedi is the next image: I just wanted you to see my original, first. This is my 'hood': It's 4 blocks from home, I pass it everyday, and I never, ever tire of it. I've photographed this view tons of times, and posted several: This one's right after sunrise (which I thought fitting for an anniversary...) Rod and Jo (Rod's here) had their 50th Anniversary on June 5th. I'm way late; but, given all the house problems Rod and Jo have had, this seemed the perfect moment to post this. It's my front yard---the northern tip of Downtown Chicago; and a piece of my joy, for you two... (Please see zoomed if possible---only 'cause the colors are truer full size.) The dedi follows... ------------------

OMG.. You did two! I am sooo blown away, Mark! And I love this photo of Chicago! My two nieces and their families just got back from a trip there, and really enjoyed it. They just sent us a photo of all of them reflected in The Bean...

Anyway, this is a stunning shot - and I can see why you never tire of this amazing view!

Thanks again - a million times over, buddy! You're the best!

This capture is simply gorgeous, Mark--the water looks like a highly polished mirror...no wind on that day in the "windy city."

The beautiful Chicago skyline, rendered even more with the delightful colors, contrast and reflections cast by Lake Michigan. Stellar presentation, Mark, and how Rod and Jo survived fifty years of marriage is the stuff of heroes. Fantastic if you can pull it off.

Sure is a splendid view you pass by daily Mark, walking or driving. And you really set the exposure perfectly in your amazing photos my friend. Already saw Rods comment. Sure love your work you share from the great city of Chicago.

Mater of fact I'm watching a show called Chicago PD, on ION TV. They are reruns.🍻

You win; you have the prettiest view of all pretty views. This is a gorgeous shot. The calm water, the pretty reflections, the perfect sky... wow, this is splendid. This photo belongs on a vacation pamphlet as the perfect Chicago image.
