I've never seen something like this, so i stopped and took a picture. J'ai jamais vu cela, donc je me suis arrête et j'ai pris une photo.

I think this phenomenon is called a "sun dog." It's caused by refraction in the water droplets in the cloud. They do look pretty cool.

I have seen many in the west of a setting sun and usually there are 2 at a time both sides of the sun. I was lucky to see one in the East. I was on a toll road with no stopping allowed. I did not want a ticket so I resisted the temptation

Bravo et merci pour le partage. C'est très rare ces effets naturels et puis comme dit Koala44 il faut être là au bon moment. Je pense que MagikUnicorn est dans le vrai pour l'explication. Pour ma part peu importe la cause, c'est très beau, merci encore pour nous faire partager cela !!
