Description
I've been playing a certain video game lately, and have had my love of a certain character rekindled. Her fire, her sass. Her tragic story, and her eventual triumph.
This, therefore, is my humble tribute. It took a bit of kitbashing, and I know it's not "perfect." But outside of learning 3d modeling, I think it's very nice.
Gou Luk got a bit of a makeover, reskinned (Sonja) and suitably reshaped in order to better represent the iconic character.
Greek Fantasy Hair renders nice, though I had to lose the hanging-down tendrils. I might try a hair converter for a second attempt. Let's just say that the bones for those hanging locks weren't cooperating, and leave it at that. Still, since this is a pretty massive hair piece, I figure maybe she tucked her free-hanging locks into the bun for a change of pace. Why not?
Some help from Twizted Reflections G8 to accent some green eyes from "GP Character Eyes." I also enlarged them slightly, and increased the size of her iris. Not by a lot, but by enough.
Verna Fae provides the corset and bustle (and underwear) and boots. The top is "Filbustiere" that dropped with Sahira 8. I would have loved to find a suitable jacket, but again. I'd likely have to learn to model. Oddly enough, I had the problem of not having suitable heeled boots to match her style. I usually avoid heels. Finding some fairly short turned-down heeled botos might not be impossible, but I felt it better to stick with what I had. For the most part. I did buy the hair special.
Some recoloring happened. I really like how it turned out, too. Redid the corset, boots, bustle, horns, and stockings.
The stockings that came with a maid outfit that was bundles with Aiko 8. Again, not perfect, but I felt they fit.
Got to the posing stage, and decided to try and recreate some classic art of her. Added in the Infernal Wings.
Found some neat smoky effects to form her magic with. Once you see her reach this stage, whatever you're fighting tends to just die.
I know, I know. I've been vague. Hopefully, if you've played the game you will know her. If not, well. Hopefully you enjoy the piece anyway!
Fantasy Moon completes the setup, from Orestes. One of my favorite HDRIs, it really is a nice set to work with.
There's a single wide-angle spotlight. There's this part in her animation where she becomes just a silhouette, and while I could have easily done that, I put in hard work getting that outfit looking good. I was dang well going to make the best of it!
I think I'll do another render of her tomorrow. Something more pinup, perhaps? Hmm... Ideas are flowing. The trick would be to capture her particular personality. But I know her well. I think I"m up for the challenge.

The thought of Millenia performing IT work makes me grin, because she has a short temper and little patience and enough power to level the entire block!

I'm not very familiar with video games and I don't recognize this character, but she's nicely done.
Thanks! And that's ok. I was being all mysterious in my post. She is Millenia, and she's from a Sega Dreamcast title called "Grandia 2." If you like an excellent story and hours of entertainment, I'd highly reccomend. They've got an HD pot of it on the PC now, and on the Nintendo Switch, you can get both Grandia 2, and Grandia. (Grandia was on the Sega Saturn and PS1, and this is the first time it's been ported to something modern!)
I think I might have to do some art based on Grandia as well, now that I think about it... Fiona would be an interesting one to do.
