Description
So, as I've mentioned on my Icarus post, I'm getting ready for a Super Hero TTRPG. Icarus, of course, is meant to die in the first session. To give the other players a catalyst to bring the group together.
Which meant I needed to create my main. After spending some time pouring over the various playbooks, I decided I really liked the "Scion." For the system, instead of choosing a class, you choose a "playbook" and build your character around it. A "Scion" is the child of a super villain, who decides to fight for the good guys for whatever reason.
In my case, Nebula's father sends her away for her safety. Her powers make her a target for the BBEG he works for. She ends up being taked in by Ben Thompson, the father of Sean Thompson, or "Icarus" when he come across her while on patrol. Ben is a police officer.
Her powers? I chose the options "regeneration" and "Cosmic Powers." Though that second one is a little vague. We still got time to iron out that that means before we start play.
Anyway, I sat down with Daz Studio to start crafting a character. After I had this render done, i realized I had essentially recreated an older character of mine, "Nebula." In fact, one of the first images I ever posted here was of Nebula.So, it seemed fitting enough. This is Nebula. I don't quite have her "Real" name picked yet.
What I do know is that she was adopted by her mercenary father. He found her during a job and decided to keep her and raise her as his own. What neither of them knows, of course, is that her origins are from out of this world. Hence the cosmic powers. I swear, every time I type that phrase, I get to thinking about Starfire (a favorite) and then I bounce to Phoenix, and then to Adam Warlock. It's going to be fun crafting just what she's capable of doing...
Today, I spent a little time working on my cleaning, and then a lot of time writing. I'm trying to still complete NaNoWriMo, despite being well behind where I need to be. Today, however, I managed 5,245 words. I figure if I can continue that pace through the weekend, I ought to be able to catch up. We'll see!
I'll be posting her "Normal" form shortly. Then I plan on spending the rest of the night crafting a villain for the GM.

P.S. I'm not getting emails from the website, and so have been missing posts. I'm going to double-check settings to see if anything had been messed with. HOWEVER, upon visiting the "activity feed" of several artists, I'm noticing that they're blank. I have to go into individual galleries to see anything new. I'm going to TRY to get some comments in, but I must admit that this particular problem messes with the normal flow of how I interact with this website. Here's hoping they get things fixed soon.
At least I'm not getting logged out QUITE so much...

cool character and information, in a comedy sups game I once had a 'alien' who had comic power of the probe, which as a mental attack that started as being goosed, it was a surprise attack.

I like the effects on this one! Most original presentation style! A delightful view!
Thank you. I was going to have the ring behind her, at a 90 degree angle. As I was moving it into place, there was the moment where her feet were on one side, and then it was almost tilted behind her head. (She's leaning forward a bit.) I kinda liked it, so I adjusted the angle of the ring. Then I added a smoke effect from the same set. Then an "infinity" backdrop from another set I've got. The result is what you see. There's a single wide-angle spotlight, but most of what you see if provided by the magic effect.
I meant to write this all in the description, but the site issues were making me rather cranky.

Very nice. The issues on the site have given me a reason to take time for investigating why my old render pc stopped working. Well it looks like stupidity on my part. Because now it kinda sorta works. But it did blue screen already. But for the moment i'm using it for surfing the web and browsing through the site and commenting. Hope they get most of the issues ironed out. At least now it doesn't take forever to open a page on site.
