Description

This scene was an exercise to use G2F clothing and textures on G8F....I had purchased a fair amount of G2 content, but only had a 32-bit DS and results were less than desirable...now that I have a 64-bit version of DS, I have been using DS more than Poser (DS has far better content). Finding a way to use G2 on G8 helps in the finances department :) Thanks for the view and for any comments you'd like to leave...do appreciate your support...

Nice render. The fact that new characters are always created is real problem. It appears that you found the good way to use G2F clothing on G8F character.

Yes, DS has really overtaken Poser. Sad. It's not that Poser is a bad program, it's that DS is better and the DS content is miles, years ahead of Poser's. Without decent content, Poser is going to just die.

She is a gorgeous asiatic beauty! Wonderful image, Barb! With your title, this image reminds me of Puccini's famous opera "Madame Butterfly", where the heroine awaits the return of her American love, until she dies.

That bit of lighted red behind the purple leaves is so intriguing.

Great lighting. The main figure really stands out with the darkened background. Great job on fitting the clothes. That was very smart of you. I went straight from V4 to G8 with nothing in between. The only thing I have for G3 are the centaurs, and I can never resist those. I agree with some of the comments about Poser. I loved it for so long, but Studio has left it in the dust.

A wonderful portrait from Asia, China in particular, that you have set in a most exquisite decor, refined and soothing. I also like the lighting of your model and that of the room in general. Wonderful artwork ! 🤩👍

She looks totally fabulous! A truly marvelous character and super fine render! Many many fine kudos!!!

I am so glad you are happy with the latest DAZ. I however haven't been able to tolerate the learning curve to migrate from Poser to DAZ. I have tried several times over the years but have always gotten frustrated by the way DAZ messes up file locations and such. Probably not a problem anymore, but I am pretty much firmly embedded into the Poser program. At least it does a good enough job for my simple little works.

I still like Poser for several reasons--e.g. ease of working with material changes, a spot render that can be actually used for compositing--but the lack of new, nifty content makes it difficult to continue working with it. Even though DS is somewhat daunting to learn, the content is most satisfying to work with and the program itself can do far more than Poser, and the render quality is far superior. Not certain what Poser 12 has to offer. It is sad how SM didn't work harder to keep Poser apace with other similar programs...not sure it will ever catch up. I've been a Poser user since version 4.
