Description
Trying to get back and try DAZ Studio instead of Poser. This is the Gen 8 character Twoset from DAZ and Iray lighting from a selection of some basic Iray lights. I think I'm getting the hang of navigating the content. I've got a ways to go.

Very nice job on the lighting, I've always found navigation in DAZ studio very difficult and inconsistent and its search function seems very hit and miss not to mention slow if you have large runtimes

Looks like you have the hang of it. Get used to making a new camera or two for setting up your final image, something I learned in Daz over the years, lol. Helps to render Iray faster with a desktop pc that has a good video card... ;)
I just got an NVIDIA Quadro 4000 rtx and installed it. I did this render again and it took a half hour. The old GPU was a GTX 960 and took like 4 hours to render the same image. Well worth the bucks. I got a great price and was actually able to finance through Amazon,so I got time to pay on top of a good deal.

That's really looking good, Art! Not bad at all on render time, either! Yeah, a few extra bucks on a good GPU really makes a difference.
I really need to get DS reinstalled... It took a giant sized dump on me last month, and I had to end up going through all the drives on that machine, and deleting anything DAZ. I was getting all kinds of postgreSQL errors, and the DIN had managed to install itself about 20 times.. Quite a mess. I may try to install it again over the weekend. All my DS assets are safe on a backup drive, so no loss there. That machine has a RTX2080ti, so it does great with iRay renders, even big ones.

Very nicely done, I'd say you're getting the hang of it. I think I might go back to Studio for a bit too, been a LONG time now.
Thanks. This was mostly presets for lights and I'm still really sketchy on IRAY render settings. It's on version 4.12 now. I first got it a year ago or so at 4.9. Now I'm taking a class on DAZ so I don't have spend the same amount of time as I did on Poser.
