Just a quicky I did a while ago to show I ainten't dead. I've been uninspired for over a month so I've been binging on movies and Netflix. Dratted autocorrect insists I mean I've been bonging on Netflix. I assure you I have not. I will get to your galleries and do some much needed catchup, Promise.
The advert. I'm thinking Antec is one of those interstellar corporations that specializes in the assembly and sale of a wide range of robotics for the civilian market. Similar in idea to companies like Hewlett Packard, they don't manufacture the components they use, they buy them under license from other manufacturers. The type of robot represented here is supposed to be what's called a type II AI. Type II AI's are often very sophisticated but are considered to be the top of the line where it comes to standard computer brains. They are not supposed to develop sentience. To that end they come with limiters and governor systems to ensure they do not develop independent thinking and self awareness. While the Galactic Union does not recognize AI as persons under the law, The Five Stars Alliance is experimenting with this very idea. As part of The Long Term Plan, AI is to be fully incorporated into society with their own unique nature fully represented in society and congress as persons, over a set period of time to allow society time to adjust.
Characters like Kharsha view this with some caution and a bit of trepidation. A Type IV AI is a brain with an IQ in the thousands. AI were instrumental in the formation of the Coalition, who pushed for the creation of the Five Stars Alliance, and later were instrumental in hashing out the details of the formation of the FSA itself. Type IV AI's run world and megacity infrastructures, system wide and starship defense systems. While Kharsha and most Illyricans are concerned this is a genie that will not go beck into it's bottle once released, Characters like former vice admiral Sarah Morgan Visherly (I haven't re-rendered her yet) are full advocates of releasing the genie, and throwing away the cork. Some of the spoof magazines I made reflected some of this debate. I do have copies of them on artstation, I might re-post them here.
On the local Pandemic front, We started re-opening a few weeks ago, and surprise, we got a spike in cases directly related to it. There are currently no plans to slow down or halt re-opening.
So, Remember, this is not anywhere near being over. Wash your danged hands and don't touch your face, keep at least 2 meters apart when possible.
Stay safe folks.

What a coincidence, I bought a gynoid for Poser just a few days ago. I'll post my own take on her once I have retextured her, I don't like the textures she comes with. Anyway, well thought out narrative and a strange character to look at, thanks for the inspiration and the reminder!

(Sorry for reposting this. I need to get my facts straight beforehand.)
So Antec went from making PC cases to licensing AIs. Interesting. Karsha and others might take a dim view of sentient AIs, but if given a choice I rather have them run the government. Yes, it's come to that. It's been coming to that since 2016, and definitely since Stable Genius hasn't taken a stand against Kruschev II (or Stalin II, take your pick).
As for this Pandemic, it's going to run circles around the 1918 flu, as well as H1N1 and Ebola. That's a given.
Ummmm...yeah. That's it! Actually, I put down the first thing that came to my mind, there was actually little to no thought behind it.
However, there's no reason that might not have happened. Antec may well have survived the death of old Earth, and 4000 years later become a robotics tech company.

Well, I know of a number of other ladies that are on board with Kharsha regarding the trepidation of sentient Gynoids running amok.. With the state of current "leadership" mucking things up all over this planet, that's all we need (although it could understandably be noted that it would be difficult for them to screw things up much worse...).
At any rate.... 1. This is an awesome render, and 2. It's good to see you're still alive and getting out of the batcave now and then!
Stay safe, buddy! Good to see your work again!

Sometimes a good tv binge night can kick start some new rendrer ideas, just has to be the right show at the right time...

A wonderful thought process into the future of what will be. A very fine supporting render of what could be. Very thoughtful.

What if I bought a robot like this one ? If it (she ?) can clean my house...I like this image very much and I'm pleased to see you're safe and back. I read this very morning that the "new" virus (it's evolution) is even more dangerous than the first one which killed almots 500 000 people around the world. So stay cautious.
