Description

"Troubled by her recurring dreams of the ancient world, Princess Anouke has been irresistibly drawn to explore the forbidden Palace of the Dead. Even in the year 2024, belief in the power and danger of this ancient place is very strong. However, Anouke'a knew the key to resolving her dreams of this ancient world was to be found in this dangerous place. As Anouke began her journey through the dim dust filled entry corridor, she felt uneasy, as if someone, or something, was following her. Suddenly she felt a chilling cold breeze on her back. She quickly turned and could barely see a figure beginning to form it the cold swirling dust. Anouke felt a chill run down her spine as she realized that this must be the entity that she had battled so many times in here dreams. While watching as the entity continued to reveal itself, she was unsure if she should try to escape, or stand her ground, and find her destiny........" This is a reworked image of one I made a few months back. I just didn't feel the story was complete in that image. I've added several elements, changed the aspect ratio to enable additional content/story elements, and adjusted the pose and expression. The figure is Sahel, with a bunch of morphs to modify her shape, some minor modifications to her face, and some modifications to her shaders. The scene is lit with the default scene lighting (Secret Ancient Catacombs from DAZ) and three spot lights. Two spot lights were for rim lighting, and the third was to highlight the figure. I also used an Iray Section Plane to allow more exterior lighting into the scene. To give the image a bit more atmosphere, I added fog/dust with SY Swift Steam Iray and Atmospheric Smoke Planes for Iray. I also added Undead Fiend (Genesis 1, DAZ) into the smoke mist on the left of the image. I converted his materials to Iray, then adjusted the cutout opacity to a level where he appears to be starting to materialize out of the swirling cloud/mist. The final change was to enable Matte Fog in Iray. IMHO it really helped the overall mood/feel of the image. The post processing for this image was virtually identical to the last image I posted, with the addition of the "Shadow Patch" G'MIC filter to add a little more light variation. The scene was created and rendered in DAZ Studio 4.12.2,6 Beta using Iray. As usual, please click on the image to zoom to full resolution. Thanks for stopping by!
