Yves, your work is class personified. (classe personnifiée---oui?) It's the very definition of "classe". And it's beautiful, and elegant, and filled with grace, beauty and intelligence...
I love that you place the woman on one side of the image...so her hair can flow to the other side, like waves, or like thought. I love her gaze: It's serious, intelligent, and yet gentle. She has beautiful lips and eyes, and you colored her skin with washes of deep yellow and burnt beige (almost a light ochre). Her hair and blouse are painted in various grays, which are beautiful contrasts to her skin and eyes, etc. And those grays give your painting an 'introspective' look: It has a quiet, inward feeling. I love how her hair flows across the image, and sweeps up the right side. And your background? A simple hill, and the simplest birds.....She stands in front of a quiet, gentle infinity.
Beautiful, graceful work, Yves. Balance, intelligence and 'classe'. I hope I have the right word: Panache, maybe. A beautiful image once again.
