At first, thank you for the nice comments, likes and favorits to my last image: Something is in the closet.
It means a lot to me!

Only a few weeks ago I introduced you to my friend, the cat Joey, aka Leo.
With deep sadness I have to tell you that he has fallen asleep gently on Thursday at the vet. He had end-stage lymphoma and was unable to eat anything. Because the vet said that she could not do anything for him, he was given an anesthetic injection and then an overdose of sodium chloride.
I miss him every day. Something important is missing in my life now. Joey was great and had a fantastic character.
I hope, now he basks in the fields of Elysium.

It's always sad to lose an animal we love, but at least Joey was happy with you, he was so well cared for all the way, and he died quietly before suffering. Your image is a very lovely tribute to Joey, my friend.

My heart flows with tears for your loss of Joey/Leo. It is one of the most beautiful aspects of our human nature that we can become so attached to another living being. Once that happens, the connection is so strong that when we lose the loved one, the break in that connection takes something of us along with it. That is the sad but loving truth of the phenomena. But the joy of having experienced those feelings of love and devotion can never be lost as long as you are able to hold onto your own mind. I really feel your loss and pray you hold onto your fine memories. This is a really touching and beautiful image you have created here. I just love it. Many fine kudos on this art piece. I am sure Joey/Leo is just as pleased with it as I am!

So very sad to hear your loss of him. I've lost many through my 62 years on earth. Always is so hard to deal with. but we heal.

Dear Elke, I can so very well relate to your feelings, since I recently lost my most beloved Tomcat Helios in an accident. I very well know how the pain feels and I know the emptiness, when one of our beloved Cats leave this world. I wish you find peace and comfort very soon, and that maybe another feline soul may find a loving home in your heart. Be blessed!
