Having lived through all the mass killings that have taken place in the United States, you would think it would be easier to deal with these deaths half way around the world. . . well, it's not! My condolences.

It will be a day that all Kiwi's will remember. Bad things do happen here, but not on that scale....not that type of cruelty. You are right it doesn't change who we are. But I guess it has taken away a sense of innocent for me anyway. My heart goes out to them all. There is nothing that anyone can say that will make it better for them. Lovely tribute with your art.

My heart breaks when something like this happens, always hoping it will the last of its kind. But, here we go again, another senseless mass-murder episode. How many people must be slaughtered by these crazed, hate-filled monsters before "good" people do something to get the politicians, etc.-- those who foster, facilitate and quietly condone this type of hate -- out of power ?
