Description

Filottrano44 organised the third edition of Battle of Filottrano who was fought in center Italy beetween italians Nembo of CIL alongside with 2nd Polish Corps supplied by 8th British Army against the X°German Army composed by 71th and 278th infantrie division from 30th June to 9th July 1944.

I was thinking about you not too long ago...glad to know all is well. Wonderful old photo of a nasty period in human history. Let's make certain we put people in power that will not repeat this horror story...not too optimistic about some of our current leaders, if you get my drift...

Short magazine Lee-Enfield rifle Mark 3 or Mark 3 star. AS an Army cadet in the fifties we were issued with these; they were all dated 1917 or earlier ... Great photo.
