Description

Once you've fled the zombie outbreak and you've got some distance between yourself and the horde, what do you do? Did you have a plan at all, or do you have to formulate one on the fly? Or did your original plan get screwed up? Got enough food? Water? Gas? Stuck on State Highway 78 in the Arizona summer is certainly not a good place to be stuck while you try to untangle the snafu you found yourself in. A WIP--I'll eventually add other figures and possibly find a way to add heat distortions in the distance. (Note to self: must get a grip on GIMP!) The sky is another Bryce nightmare I had to fight with to get close to what I wanted. Since the sun in Bryce isn't a light source--and since Daz' native sun and environment controls are a pig to work out, there's a spotlight casting that glow on the van and the model; I positioned it in approximately the same quadrant as the sun and set it to point at the van. A quick sampling of the sun from GIMP and transferring that color to the light source and boom. It's *almost* there.

Nice job with the lighting. Maybe you're going to add a little fill light to the shadow areas? Or is this the effect you want? Either way, I like this image. 👍

Thank you for the visit and the props! I was going to leave it like this for the most part but with a little tweaking to the windshield so you can see into the cab, or at least the outline of the wheel. I wanted the van silhouetted to draw attention to the figure and to emphasize the setting sun with the headlights to break up the overwhelming darkness on that side of the image. Thanks again; it always helps to be noticed. Makes me want to do better next time!
