Onder weer en wind
onderhevig aan seizoenen
gebogen zonder bloemen
gedroogd zonder tranen
vol rimpels die tanen.
Of course underneath is no good English, but just to give you an idea from the little Dutch poem:
Under wind and weather
subject to seasons
bent without flowers
dried without tears
fade full of wrinkles.
On my way I spotted this leaf of a wild Teasel.
Thank you very much for your look.

Wow - fantastic find! This looks like it could be an H.R. Giger creation - I'm seeing multiple malevolent alien creatures lurking in this image...

Great looking image! Has some classic fractal spiral arms that nature seems to like. Might also be a dragon or alien pod with those nasty thorns...

Great pic! I am trying to eradicate them from my garden as my skin gets ripped if I go too close! I planted them for Goldfinches but they prefer the feeders.

Very nice capture Jacomina.
But the thorns can still pick well. I recently had to learn this myself when I cut our roses.

I am trying to catch up with comments on what I have missed. Sometimes I do not even look anymore because I know I will see stuff I like and then I want to comment and take time to enjoy the wonderful creativity and sharp spotting of amazing shots like this.
I especially love to see your works of art whether they be nature shots such as this or your amazingly creative works of art created in the various programs you use.

Good eye and awesome camera work Mies.
The dried and cracked leaf holds a lot of character of it remaining time here.
Your poem has said it best, thanks for sharing.
