Description

An interesting thing happened here the other night... I wasn't in the frame of mind cooking another 7 course banquet as usual, [well. maybe five!, or three! well, maybe just one, sorry dinner guests] ... needless to say, it was a very loooong and busy day, simply too tired to scratch myself. [OZ slang !] So, a hot BBC-chook from our local super market was just the answer and it smelled yummy... tasted even better ! [apologies to vegans] ;-P * * * Of course, being very conscientious and good with recycling plastic's, etc. [and as stipulated by our Shire Council] I opted to wash that zip-up plastic-bag the chicken came in, inside and out, and then the magic happened... Wikileaks !!! close enough - more like the sweat-glands of the bag opened up and some... LOL Cheers Brigitte/BB PS Julian Assange, [Australian and recently a lot in the news] is the 45-year-old Wikileaks founder, who appeared on the balcony of the Ecuadorian embassy in London where he had sought asylum in 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden...

That's a fantastic capture. You must be a born photographer; I never would have thought of taking a picture of that, but look how beautifully it came out.

This is really cool! And fast exposure freezes the motion! Fascinating how water can look when seen in this manner. Keep up the good work! :-)

Quick thinking, Brigitte - it makes a wonderful abstract. Not a fan of Wikileaks, as like the Russians, they meddled in our disastrous presidential election last year...

Oh my, this is GREAT! If I do understand your description well, I don't know, BB-chen. But, haha, to me, it seems like an old thermometer with mercury has exploded. And, men are you quick with your camera! btw, pronounced In Dutch, 'mercury' sounds the same as 'quick'.

Extruded water tubes ! ! ! You have created a water foundry in your sink ! ! ! Nice capture. You must have had a super fast shutter speed to get that kind of clarity ! ! !

I kind of agree with dochtersions. The high reflectivity does make the water resemble liquid mercury.

Way to go Brigitte! Who was holding the bag so you could get this fantastic shot? Like it!

Thanks Bill, easy, peasy... just let the tap water on the sink constantly running and it keeps on filling up the plastic bag, for as long as it is needed, to get a good shot - which held everything perfectly in place. [of course, it's a waste of water but what a result, all in the name of art !] LOL

I think I understand how you held the bag, but the photo is still a transformation. An amazing shot---it almost looks like a pastiche of several shots (I know it's not). I love the stalk-like shapes of the water---they look like plant shoots, upside down---and the way the droplets fall off in such perfect glass blobs. And the red of the bag, in the background, which is such a strong accent. A terrific shot, another 'brigitte' image, totally surprising, completely different from what we think it will be, and an eye popping image. Bravo.
