Description
.
She arrived by a means we did not detect and she was waiting for us when the bunker doors opened.
"I know what you're doing," The Good Doctor said. "I will assist you ..... on one condition."
On one condition.
Conditional assistance.
An agenda.
So typical human.
I wanted to call her bluff.
I wanted to gamble that she as a doctor would proceed not for us, but for a dwindling life hanging in the balance.
But there was no time for debate or negotiations.
"We will not betray you," My Companion spoke up.
Her mind is my mind.
Her heart is my heart.
Her word is my word.
Time, unfortunately, a human concern, continued draining through the hourglass of life.

For some reason, Kasha's picked up sudden interest in this story. I doubt it has anything to do with her and the Doctor resembling one another...maybe?
Clearly, Dr. Crowley doesn't truly adhere to the Hippocratic Oath, otherwise why pin a condition on helping someone in pain? She has them in a bind.
Jeremy's Companion is a trusting soul. I hope for her sake she's not betrayed.
