I know better and I will not feel.
Humans, Breeders, tried to kill me.
I feel nothing.
This last hope act of compassion, however, is the collective will of my companions.
I am only one networked component and I will not feel.
Why this choice has been made is irrelevant.
I will not feel.
So now Krissy J will live by our unique capabilities .... or perish as nature has selected her.
And I will feel nothing.

It makes me wonder if compassion isn't ultimately logical. From the point of long term species survival, it makes sense. I guess it's either that or we all fight to the death (There can be only one!)
