Description

find out this is Jackie Devile and his daughter and grandson. i painted it because i saw love here but did not know why ...now I do know.
it is 18x24 inches

I took the refer photo at a fest. her in another town. so I like what i saw and took out the band and roof and put in a sky . took me a few days to think of a sky that will show love. I will post the refer photo too lol just to show how things work in the art world .
oh I meet them this week end again and that when i find out the story behind this painting

Amazing what you did to that photograph! Not only with the sky---which, yes, oozes with light and love (it's got sweeps and lots of light against that deep rich blue)---but in the deep reds and oranges you gave to the mother and child. All three of them have been saturated and they glow: You brought them alive! And you capture the pulls and wrinkles of clothing so well---the mother's shirt shows all the stress-lines beautifully. As do the father's shorts and shit. And his accordion glows in the center...Is there love here? Ohhhh yeah. The father's stance grows right out of his daughter and grandson: They're all connected. Jumps right off the page. Terrific.
