Description
This piece of oak fell during a foggy wind storm in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. The colors and contrast attracted me to take it onto my scanner.
I dig the bizarre and wild geometry that emerges as the mosses manage to get along with the oak, and the oak benefits from the water that the moss grabs from the fog.
It's win-win for the moss and oak, until cut short by high winds! I'm wondering how I could possibly generate such a geometry with L-systems and such.
Thanks for looking!
