Description

"What do we know about the dreams' ships?" JS asked. "I mean: where they're anchored now, how many crew there, how they work and so on. We cannot risk that some die-hard fries those poor girls' brains, right?" "When a guy on leave is escorted to the waiting area, a GHOUL who controls the cubicles' doors and the remotes, shows him the pictures of the women to choose from through a window. As far as I know the remotes are all set at the middle, but I'm told that with a small bribe you can arrange with the guardian to get the setting you want." Guhrr, a Blue officer, explained. "The crew is forty-five men strong in three shifts. Because most of the time the ships are berthed, they only serve to manoeuvre when the three ships shift." Rohrr added. "What do you mean?" JS asked. "There's a rotation between the ships, it happens every three months or so. When in a new dock, the ship is closed for the cleansing and the personnel changes, the women, I mean." Guhrr said. "Oddly enough, I never asked where discarded ones end up." A leaden silence fell in the room. "What about the crews?" JS pressed. "They also shift, no one remains in the dreams' ships for a long time. Their duty over, they go back to their regiments. This is why they always bring a face helmet in a dreams' ship, not to be recognized later." "Where are they posted?" "Usually one is at Leo 25 space facility, the command of the second fleet base, the second on the large cargo base at Lyncis 1 and the third at Oph 56." Seeing a wicked gleam in JS's eyes at the name of Oph 56, Eve cried: "I know you're craving for stealing just that one, but don't even think about it!" "To take a dreams' ship under the Admiral's nose would be a fucking great hit, Eve!" JS replied. "Sirs, we must know everything about those ships." Eve could feel JS's adrenaline surging and pumping up his pulse and Maurr and others getting caught up in JS's excitement. "Assuming that we seize the ship, the others will be unassailable, later." Vasquez pointed out. "They could also kill the women." Lady Behrr remarked. "I'm not thinking of taking just one ship, but of taking the three of them in a single action." JS grinned. "Guhrr tell me about Lyncis 1, since you had been billeted there, I guess." Guhrr flushed: "It's one of the largest ports for intermodal freight transport within the Rash-Behrr Empire." "Why the fuck no one told me!" JS thought, but he knew the answer: also to his Rasharr, trade was still something vulgar and unworthy of a battle. "Since it has never been attacked by our raids, it's virtually undefended." Guhrr went on. "The change of the crews should be in two weeks." "Good! Our error will be our asset!" JS uttered. "We'll take the transport ship and replace the new crew. Meanwhile we'll forge fake documents commanding us to bring the dreams' ship to Leo 25 for the shift. We'll board the women with Vickie, and head to Leo 25 with the empty ship. There we'll do the crews' change, leaving the empty ship, and go away with the full one to give the change to the Oph 56 ship. Here we will do the same buzzing off with the ship full. It will be like the shell game." Everybody gasped: the idea was outrageously audacious. The ambush to the first crew ship was so rapid and effective that practically there was no resistance. Only the GHOUL delegate and a handful of soldiers barricaded themselves in the wardroom. "Mop them up!" JS ordered. "No distress signal sent!" Ishikawa radioed him. Once captured the transport ship, the stunned expression of the prisoners seeing that other Rasharr had done the deed, got the commando cocky. JS and Maurr questioned the prisoners, many of them more than eager to pass on their side. JS decided to keep five of them, the others were locked up in one of Vickie's holds. Leaving Vickie, JS radioed: "Phase two, Eve," and thought: "Let's pray for a piece of fucking good luck!" --- Thanks!

Excellent depiction of the aftermath. Indeed an outrageous plan. JS always wants to be the great rescuer and is succeeding. Cool chapter. Should be interesting to see them get the ships.
