Sometimes I need to copy an old master.
At least, in terms of composition and light.
Last I read something about Joseph of Arimathea.
He caused that Jesus could be arrested on the evening of the cross.
He was a secret follower of Jesus.
In Apokyphen is mentioned that he was a member of a High Council, who was instrumental in convicting Jesus.
Joseph was against the decision.
He placed his grave is available, so that Jesus could be buried there.
After Jesus was gone from his grave, Joseph was convicted of body robbery and jailed.
It also means that he was the guardian of the Grail.
The chalice with the heard blood of the crucified was collected.
Here he is shown with Mary, as they wash the body of Jesus and oils.
Mary Magdalene is unfortunately not in the picture, she is probably just pick up oil ...
The wounds of the crucified Jesus are, according to the latest Analsyse. Not in the hands and feet, but at ulna and heel bone.
Thank you for looking and comments^^
Better look in fullsize^^

Joseph of Arimathea was a relative of Mary (mother of Jesus) and had been their guardian after Joseph (Jesus earthly father) had died. Joseph of Arimathea was very wealthy due to owning tin mines in Cornwall, England (much needed for making bronze). After "father" Joseph died, Joseph of Arimathea brought Mary and Jesus to England. Jesus then returned to Israel for his ministry. After his resurrection, Mary returned to England with Joseph of Arimathea, where she also died and was buried. Joseph of Arimathea was on the high council, and a follower of Jesus. Jesus trial was held at night (which was illegal), so only the members of the council who wanted Jesus killed were at the assembly! Nice job on the correct placement of the nail holes. Also, nice attempt at emulating the style of Carravagio (not so easy in a 3D program). Keep up the good work! :-)

Leider bin ich nicht Bibelfest...aber das Bild enthält eine gewisse Polemik, der man sich nicht entziehen kann und meine Neugier ist geweckt.

Stunning interpretation! The poses are just amazing... Sometimes it's good to "copy", to see how all the limbs and parts should be placed... You have done a fantastic work on this one! Vashek
