Description

Still at the Garden in the Woods, in Framingham, Massachusetts. The best I can tell, this is a Northern Water Snake (Nerodia sipedon). They grow up to 42 inches (107cm) long. This one was in the lily pond and looks well fed. Plenty of frogs in the pond today. I chose this pose so you could see the belly colors. This one was about half of the length listed above. Zoom for best viewing details. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Fine POV utilized to snap the little serpent as it makes its way through the pac man lily pads, Dana. Its texture blends in well with the environment.
