Description

The Monte Palace Museum in Madeira is an ideal exhibition space nestled within the beautiful surroundings of a tropical garden. The exposition entitled 'African Passion' shows part of a collection of contemporary Zimbabwean sculptures. Thank you very much for your comments on my previous image :

I like these African Sculptures very much, (see also my mother-day upload) a excellent capture, and the background is very supporting too!! Madeira is a beautiful Island, isn't!!!, In some areas on the levada's I was only suffering a bit from vertigo, but the overload on flowers is overwhelming, hope to see soon more uploads from this Island!! I agree with hedepo! I like these special african art very well, it is full of dynamic and expression. And you catched it perfectly and put it in scene! There is a museum in Monte? Very interesting! I´m sad that I didn´t know it before. Must be interesting!(I stayed there in 2006)

Cool looking statue. What shows he? For what did he stand for? African statues are all symbols for something. I would like to know more about this guy. :)

Bien content que le "reportage" sur Madère commence. Merci de me faire découvrir une collection de sculptures du Monte Palace que nous avons, Michèle et moi, omis de voir. Et ce ne sera certainement pas la seule chose que nous n'avons pas vue, on s'en doute. Bien vu ta photos... sinon les trois points surexposés qui prouvent qu'il est, oh combien, il est difficile de saisir ce type "d'objet luisant" sous lumière artificielle.
