Description

My friend of many (27) years, Kurt, got married today, and I had to come up with a cartoon post haste. You see Kurt is Swedish, then American, but has lived in Germany, too. (Thus "verbunden" Plus I couldn't find a good translation online in time, maybe someone who knows swedish will fill me in) We've been friends for so long, a few years ago at his 60th birthday he opened a can of the smelliest fish I have ever eaten... but tasted smooth like a fine french cheese. I'll never forget it, and I'll never need t do it again. That's Diane, Kurt's lucky bride, holding the can out the window. He has had the same Volvo ever since he got his drivers' license, so I had to include that. We worked and actually cartooned together with the astronauts via fax on the Intelsat mission team of STS-49, first flight of the Endeavour and I'll never forget that. So here's to Kurt and Diane. Kurt promised a long life to Diane, his father is almost 101.

This is fantastic Jim! Love to know about Kurt and his smelly fish and his poor, poor bride with the can, lol. I tasted canned eel once so I can imagine what you experienced (ack). Kurt sounds like a great guy and he has a great friend in you! Bravo!
